Owner of Buffalo Sabres Caught in Compromising Position?

How is it that Darcy Regier seems to be the only general manager with all these budget problems? Year after year he rips the heart and soul from the team, even giving away the captains who led the team with passion and love for Buffalo. I say “giving away” because Darcy Regier got nothing in return for these great players as he sat on his hands too long and obviously could not make a decision one way or the other.

It’s amazing how other teams like Washington, who had just signed Ovechkin to a 124 million dollar contract, could still find the money to sign Fedorov, Cooke & Huet, which propelled them into the playoffs. Then there is Colorado, who signed Forsberg for their big playoff push.

I am still amazed that the owner and management could even make a comment like “the playoffs are nice, but not as good as they used to be because the league takes half the money now”! Are you fucking kidding me!!!? I have to wonder how Regier feels with Biron, Briere, Drury and Campbell, all being in the playoffs while he’s home watching it on a black & white TV (since he’s so fucking cheap)..!

I have to believe that Regier be toasting in a particularly hot part of hell for what he did to Teppo Numminen. Even high ranking NHL officials have been publicly asking the question, “what players will want to come to Buffalo knowing how Regier negotiates and that he has absolutely no heart”..?

I think Regier must have pictures of the owner in a compromising position for him to still have a job! I feel sorry for Lindy Ruff!!! They betrayed him and he is such a class act that he won’t even complain about it… What kind of reward is it to your loyal fans that buy every available seat in your stadiums, to trade away their hopes and dreams? Darcy Regier!!! You should be a man and resign for the sake of the team and the sport in general. No veteran stars would even consider negotiating with a scumbag like you! The rookies and other young players played their hearts out, but without veteran leadership, they could not make the playoffs.

I just watched Briere make his fifth goal against Washington for the Philadelphia Flyers!!! Hope your happy Regier!!!

As simple as it gets!

If Briere played for Buffalo instead of Philly this year, the Sabres would be in the playoffs. If Drury played for the Sabres instead of the Rangers, the Sabres are in the playoffs and NY is likely out. Simple as that. Nice job Darcy.
